IMPORTED AS A WEANLING IN 1989 by the late Mrs. W. A. Swinerton of Mary’s Farm (please refer to the "About Us" page of this website), *LLANARTH SIGNPOST is a beautiful stallion, with an exceptionally kind, gentle, civilized temperament, excellent conformation and action, and an unusually beautiful and strongly sculpted head.

Smaller and not overtly as flashy as some of the other stallions at Seascape Welsh, *LLANARTH SIGNPOST is sometimes overlooked. It is interesting, however, that every artist who has visited SEASCAPE WELSH, INC., has consistently, without exception, expressed admiration for “Len”(*LLANARTH SIGNPOST) beyond any of the other stallions.

*LLANARTH SIGNPOST has an unusual elegance and purity which call to mind the Unicorn of mediaeval legend and George Stubbs’ white horses in his “Horse and Lion” series of paintings and engravings.

“Len”(*LLANARTH SIGNPOST) has been shown only twice:

♦ Santa Barbara National Welsh Show 1998, 2^nd Section B Stallion (judge: Janis Shaneberger)



“Len”(*LLANARTH SIGNPOST) is a very prepotent stallion and an excellent stockgetter. His progeny are consistently elegant, intelligent, sweet-tempered, readily trainable, and athletically talented.
