PEDIGREE OF *LLANARTH RAZZLE

 

 

Many times Supreme Champion (including at Glanusk 1989) in the U.K., and International Show Champion, TWYFORD SIGNAL, the sire of *LLANARTH SIGNPOST, *LLANARTH RAZZLE, and *LLANARTH RIPPLE, was Llanarth Stud’s senior Section B stallion for many years, until his death in 2004 at age 28. 

As a foal, TWYFORD SIGNAL was exported in 1976 with his dam, TWYFORD SPARKLE, to the Mollegaard Stud in Denmark and was European International Champion in both show jumping and dressage prior to his re-importation to the U.K. by the Bigleys as a ten year old stallion. 

TWYFORD SIGNAL qualified four times for the Horse of the Year Show at Wembley, and twice for Olympia, the end-of-the-year Supreme Ridden Event. 

TWYFORD SIGNAL was winner of the Progeny Award at the Welsh Centenary Show, 2002, with son DOUTHEWAITE SIGNWRITER (Centenary Show Champion), DOUTHEWAITE SIGN (twice Champion, Royal Highland Show), and BRENOB FINCH (Female Champion, Royal Welsh Show).  His progeny, noted for their quality, beauty and exceptional temperaments, have gone to studs worldwide, where they have been exceedingly successful:  in hand, as performance ponies in many different disciplines, and as breeding stock. 

CAROLINAS PAINTED LADY, the dam of *LLANARTH RAZZLE, is half-sister to CAROLINAS PURPLE EMPEROR (same dam), sire of CAROLINAS RED FOX, many times at or near the top of the USEF LEADING PONY HUNTERS SIRES LIST, and to CAROLINAS SWALLOWTAIL (same dam), Champion in the U.K. and in France, winner at the Royal Welsh, and the dam of *LLANARTH SIGNPOST.
