LLANARTH SCOUT boasts an incredible array of legendary Welsh ponies in his ancestry: TANYBWLCH BERWYN, CRIBAN VICTOR and REEVES GOLDEN LUSTRE, sires at the very foundation of Section B breeding; sires COED COCH BERWYNFA, COED COCH BLAEN LLEUAD, COED COCH MADOG, COED COCH PLANED, and mares COED COCH PELEN, COED COCH SIRIUS, and COED COCH PENDEFIGES from the revered Coed Coch Stud; more recently, SOLWAY MASTER BRONZE, DOWNLAND CHEVALIER, HORSEGATE AMBASSADOR, and TWYFORD SIGNAL; and LLANARTH SCOUT’S sire, DOUTHWAITE SIGNWRITER, who currently stands at the Llanarth Stud.

DOUTHWAITE SIGNWRITER has qualified for the Horse of the Year Show four times, was Champion Section B at the Centenary Show, 2002, and winner of the Welsh Section B Progeny award at the Royal Welsh Show, 2003. His numerous prestigious wins include:
